Eddy van der Meer de Walcheren is a living legend who survived the trippy psychy wild sixties and seventies.He was a member of SLACKGANG , a band that played rock with some folky influences during the early seventies. Unfortunately they never made it onto vinyl.SURPRIEZE is one of the first private pressings from Holland.This album contains a very interesting mixture of weird experimental blues , trippy psychedelia. Unique project , played on a guitar with 3 strings which makes the sound very special.
Half of the 500 copies pressing were thrown in the sea by Eddy , because he wanted to finish a certain period in his life. At that time he couldn't know that decades later collectors would pick up his project...it became one of the most collectable records of the Dutch scene. |

Strange psychedelic acoustic folk , male/female vocals , can be compared to no other group except maybe a bit to COMUS.Record shows thin hairlines and plays with some crackling , not too disturbing.Please think of the fact that even MINT looking copies play with crackles,because of the not 100% pressing.Label has minimal white ring around the hole.Great copy. |

Barry and George both made a solo album in the early seventies , entitled "only Parrots,Frogs And Angels" and "JoJo".Both are nowadays highly sought after albums.In Germany they were released as a double album in special cover , in 1972. Rarely turns up nowadays. Vinyl is near perfect , cover has light wear on the edges (see picture). |
